Second Sat. sampler block 10

 

 For this block you will need: 

2) 4 inch red squares

4) 4 inch dark blue squares 

2) 4 inch medium blue squares

4) 4 inch light blue squares

4) 3 1/2 inch light blue squares

 

 

 Draw a diagonal line on the back of each of the 4 inch light blue squares as well as the 2) medium blue squares.  Match each of the light blue squares with a dark blue square making sure the right sides are together and the outside edges are aligned.  Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the drawn line.  Cut on the drawn line.  Square to 3 1/2 inches and press toward the dark blue.  Match the 2) medium blue squares with the red squares.  Repeat the process to create 4 half square triangles.

Arrange as in the photo above to create the block.
