February mystery fabric

We will be using the Bee's Life collection of fabric for the February mystery quilt.

January (2021) mystery quilt

 Today is mystery quilt day.  It is a simple nine-patch and alternate block but it turned out great.

We didn't manage the quilting part but at this point, we are grateful to even have it pieced together in time.  We have a few extra kits available.

January mystery fabric

 Sorry for the delay in posting.  Life has been a little interesting for us lately.

We received the fabric for this month's mystery quilt.  We will be using pieces from the Regency Romance collection by Moda.

Second Sat. sampler block 10

 

 For this block you will need: 

2) 4 inch red squares

4) 4 inch dark blue squares 

2) 4 inch medium blue squares

4) 4 inch light blue squares

4) 3 1/2 inch light blue squares

 

 

 Draw a diagonal line on the back of each of the 4 inch light blue squares as well as the 2) medium blue squares.  Match each of the light blue squares with a dark blue square making sure the right sides are together and the outside edges are aligned.  Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the drawn line.  Cut on the drawn line.  Square to 3 1/2 inches and press toward the dark blue.  Match the 2) medium blue squares with the red squares.  Repeat the process to create 4 half square triangles.

Arrange as in the photo above to create the block.

Five fifty five update

 We were planning on hosting the $5.55 sale this Friday but Becky has been scheduled to have some work done on her knee that day.  Because of this we will be closed Friday and probably Saturday. 

So.....even though we will not be adding fabric to the sale shelf we will honor the $5.55 price Tues. through Thurs. of this week for all the fabric on the shelf at this time.  

This will also affect the Second Sat. Sampler blocks.  The blocks are cut and ready and the instructions will be posted shortly.  You are welcome to pick up the blocks before Friday or after the weekend.
