December Mystery quilt

So sorry!  We rushed right in to the Christmas Holidays and forgot to post a photo of the December Mystery Quilt.

So.... here it is.

The beautiful home spun fabrics from Moda lend themselves nicely to the simple patchwork pattern.  We backed the quilt with a soft green minky fabric.  What a cuddle quilt this turned out to be.

Thank you all for participating in our mystery quilt program.

We are planning the January mystery quilt using the Callington Mill collection from Penny Rose fabrics.

Becky has planned a pretty traditional quilt for January.

Don't miss out!  Give us a call at 801-465-9133 to reserve your kit.

Second Saturday Sampler session 10

For this block you will use:

6) white 4" squares
2) white 3 1/2" squares
3) green 4" squares
2) green 3 1/2" squares
3) pink 4" squares

Draw a diagonal line on the back of all six of the white (4”) squares.

Place the three green squares, right sides together and outside edges aligned, with three of the 4” white squares.  Do the same with the 4" pink squares.  Sew ¼ inch on each side of the drawn lines.  Cut apart on the line.  Square to 3½ inches and press toward the print.

Use the photo at top to assemble and sew the block.

Becky found an idea on pinterest the other day that she fell in love with.  Since we have a couple of daughters that needed a place to hang their Christmas stockings they all got together for a little Mother/Daughter craft day and each re created the pinterest idea as well as several other crafts.  They had a great time.  Following is a photo of the project all ready and waiting to hang the Christmas stockings on.

It's amazing what you can create with a little time and some leftover framing materials!

They each created a set of these fun holiday throw pillows as well.  I think a good time was had by all.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

Now it's November!

Halloween is behind us and we are all looking forward to the Holidays.  Becky has been working on a fun wool project designed by Lisa at Primitive Gatherings.

It is all handwork so you can cozy up with your favorite movie, turn up the furnace and stitch away.

We have kits available.  If you hurry in you can have it finished in time to enjoy for the holiday season.

Remember - Tomorrow is Five Fifty Five First Friday.
We have shelves loaded and ready for you to clear out for only $5.55 per yard.
