November mystery and other stuff

 The November mystery quilt turned out really cheery!

The borders on this one are optional - supplies are limited.

FYI - we will be closing early on Wednesday and remain closed through Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

All Christmas kits and all yardage will be on sale for 30% off for 3 hours only on Saturday the 26th!  (10:00 until 1:00)

December mystery quilt will be using the Hello Winter collection by Riley Blake.  This is a warm and cozy flannel collection.  You're gonna want one!

We will release this one early on Dec. 20th as we will be closed for much of the week after Christmas.

Second Sat. Sampler block 7

 For this block you will need:

8) 4-inch background squares

4) 4-inch blue squares

4) 4-inch red squared

Draw a diagonal line on the back of the background squares.

Place a background square with each of the red and blue squares making sure the right sides are together and the outside edges are aligned.

Sew 1/4 inch on both sides of the drawn line.

Cut on the drawn line.

Square to measure 3 1/2 inches.  

Press toward the blue or red fabric.

Assemble as shown in the photo to create the block.

October mystery

 The October mystery kits are ready.

We used and easy stack and whack method to complete this quilt. It sewed up quickly in an afternoon. Its a great way to showcase some fun colors and cute prints.

We will be using the Sunshine & Dewdrops collection designed by Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake Fabrics for the November mystery quilt.

Event reminder, Oct. mystery fabric

 Just a little reminder.  Hope you can stop by.

We will be using fabric from the Hibiscus line by Riley Blake for the October mystery quilt.

Second Sat. Sampler block 6

 For this block you will need:

4) light with flower clusters

4) light with blue little flowers

4) red

4) blue

Draw a diagonal line on the back of all of the light squares.

Match 4 of the light squares with 4 blue squares making sure the outside edges are aligned and the right sides are together.  Sew 1/4 inch on both sides of the drawn line.  Cut on the line.  Trim the block to measure 3 1/2 inches.  Press toward the blue.

Repeat matching the other white with the red squares.

Assemble and sew as shown in the photo.

Sept. Mystery

 Sorry we are so late posting the Sept. mystery photo.

Here it is--

We are still working on fabric for the October mystery quilt.  We'll post a photo as soon as we can.

Please join us for our customer appreciation event next week.  (Thurs., Fri., 10 -6, Sat. 10 -1:00.) We are scrambling to get all of the new projects ready but they are lookin' good. We will have prizes, treats and kits and sales and a free pattern....so come and catch up.

 For this block you will need:

4) 4-inch light squares

2) 4-inch red squares

2) 4-inch light blue squares

4) 3 1/2-inch red plaid squares

4) 3 1/2-inch light blue squares

Draw a diagonal line on the back of each of the 4-inch light squares.  Match 2 with the 4-inch red squares and 2 with the 4-inch light blue squares.  Make sure the right sides are together and the outside edges are aligned.  

Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the line.  Cut on the line.  Square the patches to measure 3 1/2 inches.  Press toward the darker print.

Refer to the photo to arrange the components and complete the block.
