April mystery quilt revealed

The quilt is done and the kits are cut.  Come and get 'em.

April Mystery Fabrics

 

The days go by way too fast!  So sorry we haven't gotten the mystery fabric photo posted earlier. 

We will be using pieces from the Grove collection by Riley Blake designs.   

The mystery will be revealed next week so give us a call to reserve your kit.

March Mystery quilt

 

The March mystery quilt looks like a dazzling ray of sunshine.  It's sure to brighten any room it lands in.  We love it!  Hope you do too.

 We have created a limited number of kits for the cute pillow Becky created to go with the quilt.  Get 'em while you can.

Just a little reminder - this Friday is the Five fifty five sale.

Second Sat. Sampler Block 12

 

This is the last block for this quilt.   You are almost done - way to sew!

 

 For this block you will need: 

2) 4 inch squares of 4 different blues

8) 4 inch cream print squares 

 

Draw a diagonal line on the back of each of the 4 inch cream squares.  Match the cream squares with a one of the blue squares making sure the right sides are together and the outside edges are aligned.  Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the drawn line.  Cut on the drawn line.  Square to 3 1/2 inches and press toward the blue. 

Arrange as in the photo at the top to create the block.

We are in the process of planning the next Second Saturday Sampler quilt.  We will be using fabric from the Modern Farmhouse collection by Riley Blake.  

 

The first session will start the second Saturday in  May.  The $24.00 fee will cover all 12 blocks.  As in the past, we will have some finishing kits available to set the blocks for an additional fee.  Details will be coming.

February mystery correction

 

We made an error as we were doing the pattern for the Feb. mystery quilt as we did not allow quite enough fabric to create the needed half square triangles.  Please stop by the shop to pick up the additional squares you need.  We have them cut and ready to go.  You will need 4 more 6inch squares.  

So sorry for the inconvenience.

March Mystery fabric

 

We will be using fabric from the "Shades of Summer" collection for the March Mystery quilt.

 It is fitting of its name.  Aren't we all looking forward to a warm summer breeze?

February mystery quilt revealed

 

The February mystery kits are ready.  We are thrilled with the quilt!  Hope you love it too.  The quilt finishes 55 1/2 inches by 70 1/2 inches.

 We have a daughter that works at Seagull Book.  The pillow in the bottom right corner will be available at Seagull book on March 1.  (She was able to get us one a little early.)  It compliments the quilt nicely.

And speaking of complimenting the quilt - the panel below is part of the collection and works perfectly with the quilt.  

 The panels are only $7.50.  You know you need one.

We have yardage available if you would like to add borders.  It will be available on a first come basis until it is gone.
