First Friday Sale

  We just want to let you know we will be hosting a $5.95 first Friday sale this Friday.  We have added fabric to the shelf to plump it up a bit.

March Mystery Quilt

The March mystery quilt is pretty darn quick and easy!

 

The kits are ready.

We will be using a layer cake from the Sonnet Dusk collection by Riley Blake for the April Mystery quilt.  

We will be starting a new Second Saturday Sampler quilt in May.  The quilt will use the Belle Isle collection by Minnick and Simpson for Moda fabrics.

Twenty four dollars will get you all twelve blocks.  We hope to post a photo of the  quilt in the very near future, so stay tuned.

National Quilting Day

 Tomorrow (March 19) is Worldwide quilting day.

Second Sat. Sampler block 11

 

For this block you will need:

4) 4-inch pink squares

4) 4-inch light squares

4) 3 1/2 inch pink squares

1) 3 1/2 inch green plaid square

4) 2 1/2 inch light squares

4) 2 1/2 inch black floral squares

4) 2-inch light squares

I'm thinking most of you could create the block without any instructions at this point but just in case...

Draw a diagonal line on the back of  the 4-inch light squares.  Match each of these with a 4-inch pink square making sure the right sides are together and the outside edges are aligned.  

Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the drawn line.  Cut on the line.  Square to 3 1/2 inches and press toward the pink.

Repeat the process using the 2 1/2 inch light and black floral squares.  Square these to 2 inches and press toward the black.

Arrange the components and sew together as shown in the photo above.

February Mystery Quilt

 The February mystery quilt is done!  

As usual, the colors are more vibrant in real life but hopefully, this gives you a good idea.

We added 8 blocks to the mystery pattern to make it a little larger.  We do have a limited number of extension kits if you like the larger size.

Please be aware that we will be closed the first week of March as we will be vending and teaching at the Spring Quilt retreat at Bryce Canyon.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will post a photo of the March mystery fabrics as soon as we find them.
