New block party!

Our new block party -"Somewhere in Time" - will begin on August 16.

We have promised pictures so here is the quilt in a partially finished state.  Becky has been working frantically to complete the quilt but there seems to never be enough time.  The sampler blocks will continue on all four sides of the quilt.

The quilt uses fabrics from Sue Daley's newly released line "To Norway with Love" by Riley Blake Designs.  I think the quilt would make a wonderful heirloom wedding gift.

We are offering several size options for the quilt.  The block party fee will cover the fabrics through the sampler blocks and will finish about 72 x 87 inches (twin). 

You can easily add another 3 inches of background fabric to finish 78 x 93 inches.

 If you desire a queen size quilt simply add a small first border and a final 6 inch border to make the quilt 92 x 107 inches.  (This is the option Becky is planning.)

To participate, we require a $35.00 sign up/commitment fee and $5.00 per session.  We have planned 12 sessions.  Most sessions will include two 12 inch blocks, some will cover the nine patches and sashing.  We would love to have you join us.  If you sign up before the class begins on the 16th we will take $5.00 off of the sign up fee. 

Block party will run every other Saturday beginning Aug. 16th.  We will take a little break for Christmas and finish up the quilt in January.  Saturday shop hours are from 10:00 until 1:00.
