This month's quilt is created with a beautiful collection of prints. The challenge was organizing the busy, beautiful prints into a quilt. The solution was to use two of the calmer prints to border a selection of six of the remaining prints. Hope you love it!
Follow the directions in the pattern for cutting.
Sew each of the green sashing strips to
a coral sashing strip along the length of the fabric. Press toward the green fabric. Sub cut each of these strips into 6) 7 inch
sections for a total of 72 sections. (Trim
selvedge carefully because you need to get 6 from each strip.)
Arrange the 7 inch squares randomly into
6 rows with 5 blocks in each row. Sew a
sashing section between each of the blocks and to both ends of the row. Manipulate the sashing sections so that every
other block is bordered in green or coral.
(The first block will have green next to it. The second will have coral and so on. ) The next row will begin opposite of the one above
it.
Sew the sashing strips in between the
rows and to the top and bottom of the quilt.
Be careful of the sashing color placement.
Sew a 5 ½ inch border to the sides of
the quilt and then to the top and bottom.
Quilt as desired. Bind and enjoy!
Ta Da!, the almost finished quilt - still needs binding.
(A little note. Becky got a little carried away making blocks and created some extra. She added one more row to her quilt. Your kit includes fabric for six rows.)

We are planning a Halloween themed quilt for August. Some of the fabrics are shown below. Please join us.
Don't forget the $5.55 first Friday sale this Friday. We will be adding bolts of new fabric just for the sale. A great way to back a quilt!
