July Mystery Quilt

The July mystery quilt is now available.

Isn't it romantic?

The quilt finishes about 60 x 72 inches.  The quilt is constructed with 18 inch big blocks so it goes together pretty quickly.  We added a six inch border to make it twin size.

We have ordered fabric from the Pinewood Acres collection for the August mystery quilt.

We have been doing a monthly mystery quilt for only $29.00 for about ten years now.  We truly appreciate your participation.  As the price of fabric has gone up it has become increasingly difficult to find fabric to fit the $29.00 price range.  Beginning next month (August 2019) the mystery quilts will be $34.00 - still a great price for a quilt top.

And now a reminder.  This Friday, Aug. 2 is $5.55 First Friday.  We are adding more bolts to the shelves so come and see what you can find at a great price!

See you soon.

Second Sat. Sampler block 4

For this block you will need:
8) 4" background squares
4) 4" dark blue squares
4) 4" green squares

Draw a diagonal line on the back of each of the background squares.

Match a background square to each of the blue and green print squares with the right sides together and the outside edges aligned.  Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the drawn line.  Cut on the line.  Square each section to 3 1/2 inches and trim the excess points of the seams.  Press toward the print.

Assemble the resulting 1/2 square triangles as pictured above to create the block.
