August mystery quilt

The August mystery kits are ready!

The quilt is a fun and done project created with a large focal fabric and patchwork accents.  You can have it pieced together in an afternoon.

We have a few extra kits available for the regular retail price of $45.00 if you love it but didn't sign up in advance.  It would make a wonderful gift for the outdoor men (or women) in your life.

We are planning on using a layer cake from Riley Blake's Meow and Forever collection for the September mystery quilt.

Second Sat. Sampler block 5

We will be gone on the second Saturday this month to attend a family reunion. Because of this we have the blocks ready a little early.  You are welcome to stop by and pick them up whenever it is convenient for you. 

We will be gone the afternoon of August 8 through the 10th.

For this block you will need:
8) 4" background squares
4) 4" dark blue squares
2) 4" green squares
2) 4" red squares

Draw a diagonal line on the back of each of the background squares.

Match a background square to each of the blue, green and red print squares with the right sides together and the outside edges aligned.  Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the drawn line.  Cut on the line.  Square each section to 3 1/2 inches and trim the excess points of the seams.  Press toward the print.

Assemble the resulting 1/2 square triangles as pictured above to create the block.
