May mystery quilt

The May mystery quilt kits are ready.  You are welcome to pick yours up today (Fri. May 22) if you would like.  We will also be here Sat. from 10 until 1:00.  We will be closed Monday for the Memorial day holiday.

The quilt is summer fun and sunshine!

We are planning a red, white and blue quilt for June.  Some of the fabrics are shown below.

Second Sat. Sampler block 2

Welcome to block 2!

For this block you will need:
8) 4" print squares
8) 4" red squares

Draw a diagonal line on the back of each of the 4" print squares.

Place the red squares with the print squares making sure the right sides are together and the outside edges are aligned.  Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the drawn line.  Cut on the line.  Square the triangles to 3 1/2 inches. Clip the excess corners of the seams and press.


Arrange and sew the half square triangles as depicted in the photo at the top of the post to create the block.
