January Mystery Quilt

 The January mystery kits are ready!  See the quilt in the photo below.

This one is designed to help chase away some of the Winter blahs and encourage thoughts of warm summer days and all the beautiful things that come with the warmth of the season.

FYI - as most of you know, we participate in the Winter Quilt retreat at Ruby's Inn at the mouth of Bryce canyon.  The shop will be closed Jan. 31- Feb. 5 in order to teach and vend at the retreat.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

January mystery fabric

 We are a little behind after taking a little holiday break but we are starting to catch up.

The January mystery fabrics arrived this morning.

We are using pieces from the "Sweet Picnic" line from Riley Blake.  It'll help remind you of the happy, warm days ahead.

We will be closed Jan. 31 - Feb. 4th to participate in the Winter Quilt at Ruby's Inn.  Because of this, the mystery kits will be available on Jan. 24 (one week early).

Second Sat. Sampler block nine

 For this block you will need:

8) 4" blue squares

8) 4" pink squares

Draw a diagonal line on the back of each of the pink squares.  

Place a pink square with a blue square making sure the right sides are together and the outside edges are aligned.

Sew 1/4 inch on both sides of the line.

Cut on the line.

Square to 3 1/2 inches.

Press toward the blue.

Repeat using all of the squares.

Refer to the photo to assemble and sew the block.
