Becky says, "Check out the chicks in our shop".
It's the September mystery quilt. I think it turned out way fun!
The $29.00 kit includes everything through the first (green) border. The final border is optional but doesn't it finish the quilt nicely?
Remember Shop Hop next week - October 4 through 7. We will have prizes, treats, discounts and a free pattern! Please join us for the fun.

12) assorted 3" red squares
1) 2" green square
1 brown stem
From the white cut:
2) 3 1/2 inch squares
1) 2 inch square

1) 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch strip
1) 1 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch strip
2) 1 1/2 x 12 1/2 inch strip
Draw a diagonal line on the back of the white 2" square and the 2) 3 1/2 inch white squares.
Place the 2" white square on the 2" green square with the right sides together and the outside edges aligned. Sew 1/4 inch from the line. (No need to sew on both sides since you will only be using half.) Cut on the line and press toward the green. Square up to 1 1/2 inches. Sew this to the left side of the brown stem to create the little leaf.
Sew the 1 1/2 x 3 3/4 inch white strip to the left side of the stem/leaf unit. Sew the
1 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch white strip to the right side of the stem/leaf unit. Set aside
Match the 2) 3 1/2 inch white squares to the 3 1/2 inch red squares with the right sides together and the outside edges aligned. Sew 1/4 inch on both sides of the line. Cut on the line. Square to measure 3 inches. Trim off the excess points. Press toward the red.
Sew the 3 inch red squares and the red and white half squares together to create the apple as shown in the photo.
Sew the leaf/stem strip to the top of the apple. Sew the 1 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch white to the bottom.
Sew the 1 1/2 x 12 1/2 inch white strips to the sides.
The block should measure 12 1/2 inches square.
