Fall is officially here! Don't you love the cooler temperatures and beautiful leaves and thoughts of pumpkin and spice and cute little ghouls marching up and down the streets? Hopefully, the yards and gardens will be put to bed soon leaving you with time to sew and make warm, cozy, beautiful quilts for the cold months ahead.
We are almost ready to turn the page on another month. That means, we have a new mystery quilt to reveal. And here it is.....
This one should be pretty fun and done for you with just a simple black snowball block and 6 inch squares. I think the diverging stars that the corners link together are kind of fun.
We need to remind you all of the Beehive Shop Hop coming up October 10 - 13th. As always there will be lot's of free patterns, fabulous prizes and all kinds of fun and games. Please plan to join us and while you are out and about you can stop by the Peteetneet for the annual quilt show that will be going on there.
The mystery quilt for October will be using a Christmas line because you can never have too many Christmas Quilts!

2018 Second Sat. sampler block 6
For block 6 you will need:
4) 4 inch blue squares
4) 4 inch print squares
8) 4 inch gray dot squares
Draw a diagonal line on the back of the 4" background squares.
Match one of these to each of the blue and print 4" squares with the outside edges aligned and the right sides together.
Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the drawn line.
Cut on the line.
Square the resulting half square triangles to measure 3 1/2 inches.
Trim off the excess points on the seam and press toward the blue fabric.
Use the photo of the block at the top of the post as a guide to assemble and sew the block together.
Happy Quilting!
