Second Sat. Sampler block 11

So sorry this post has been so slow in posting.  We had a wonderful time at the Winter Quilt Retreat last week.  We have almost got the shop put back together.  However, we are still playing the catch up game.

So.... here is block eleven.

For this block you will need:
4) 4" dark blue squares
4) 4" blue floral squares
4) 4" background squares
4) 3 1/2" background squares

Draw a diagonal line on the back of the 4" background squares two of the blue floral squares.

Match two of the background squares to two of the  4" floral squares with the outside edges aligned and the right sides together.  Match the remaining two with two of the dark blue squares.

Match the two floral squares with the remaining two dark blue squares.

Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the drawn line.

Cut on the line.

Square the resulting half square triangles to measure 3 1/2 inches.

Trim off the excess points on the seam and press toward the blue fabric.

Use the photo at the top of the post as a guide to assemble and sew the block together.

Happy Sewing!  Only one block to go.
