For this block you will need:
8) 4" background squares
8) different 4" print squares
Draw a diagonal line on the back of each of the background squares.
Match a background square to each of the print squares with the right sides together and the outside edges aligned. Sew 1/4 inch on each side of the drawn line. Cut on the line. Square each 1/2 square triangle to 3 1/2 inches and trim the excess points of the seams. Press toward the print.
Assemble the resulting 1/2 square triangles as pictured at the top to create the block.
We hope you have enjoyed the process as this quilt has come together for you.
We are starting a new Second Sat. Sampler in April. You can see a couple of the blocks and the fabrics we will be using in the photo below.
We're not sure how we are going to set them all yet but you can get the 12 blocks for only $12.00. The instructions will all be on line as we have done in the past. A new block will be available on the second Saturday of each month. Give us a call if you would like to be included - 801-465-9133.
We wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for the support our great quilting friends - so THANKS!
