32) 2 1/2" background squares
12) 2 1/2" red squares
8) 2 1/2" pink squares
1) 4 1/2" square for the center (you provide)
Sewing:

Place a 2 1/2" background square on a corner of a 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" green square with the right sides together and the outside edges aligned. The drawn line should run from edge to edge of the rectangle. Sew on the drawn line. Trim 1/4" from the seam and press. Repeat on all four corners of each of the four green rectangles.
Sew 4) 2 1/2" background squares, 3) 2 1/2" red squares, and 2) 2 1/2" pink squares together to create a nine patch block. (Refer to the photo for color placement.) Create 4 nine-patch squares.
Use the photo above to sew the units together to create the block.
Sew 8) 2 1/2" print squares into a row and sew to the bottom of the block.
