June mystery quilt

First of all we want to thank all of you for making the June shop hop so successful for us.  It was a pleasure to see and visit with you.

Please note: because the first Friday in July falls on July 4th we will be moving our first Friday $5.55 sale to the following Friday (July 11th).

This month's mystery quilt is another fun, simple one.  Hope you love it!

Cut the fabric as instructed in the pattern.  Sew each of the 3½ inch grey strips to a 3½ inch aqua strip along the length of the fabric.  Press toward the aqua fabric.

From each of the grey/aqua strips cut 12) 3½ inch sections.

Sew these sections in sets of two to create 36) four patch units.

Sew the squares together alternating the four patch units with the 6½ inch squares.  You will sew eight blocks in each row.

Make sure the colors of the 6½ inch squares are scattered evenly throughout the quilt.  Create 9 rows and sew the rows together.  Make sure the four patches are all turned the same direction to create the chain running through the quilt.

Add the first border (grey).

Sew the 5 inch border strips to the sides.

Sew the 6 inch border strips to the top and bottom.

Quilt as desired.  Bind and enjoy!

The July mystery quilt will use the Valencia collection from Riley Blake designs.  Call us at 801-465-9133 to reserve a kit.
