Country Summer - Second Saturday sampler

For this block you will need:
Background-
     4) 5" squares
    16) 2 1/2" squares  
Green - 
    2) 5" squares
Peach - 
    2) 5" squared
16) 2 1/2" squares of various prints
 
Sewing: 
Sew each of the 2 1/2" print squares to a 2 1/2" background square.  Press toward the print. Sew 2 of these units together to create a four-patch square.  Crete 8 four-patch squares.
 
Draw a diagonal line on the back of both of the 5" peach squares.  Place a peach square with a 5" green square making sure the outside edges are aligned an the right sides are together.  Sew 1/4" on both sides of the drawn line.  Cut on the line.  Square the resulting 1/2 square triangles to 4 1/2". Press toward the green.
 
Use the photo above to arrange the components and complete the block.
 
Sew 8) 2 1/2" print squares into a row and sew to the bottom of the block.
 
Sew the block to the bottom of block 9.

  1. Becky? These instr are wrong. They say peach n green together….but it should be peach, and green to the background

  2. I just finished my block #10 and the instructions do not create the block shown. I believe you need to sew a peach with a white background and a green with a white background, sewing on both sides of the diagonal. this will create the four blocks needed for the middle of the 16 in block.
